Twin 19-year-old sisters were each stabbed in a Brooklyn deli early Sunday, leaving one dead and the other receiving treatment in hospital, police and witnesses said. Two 19-year-old twin sisters were both attacked with a knife inside a deli in Brooklyn during the early hours of Sunday. Tragically, one of the sisters lost her life, while the other sister is currently receiving medical care at a hospital. This distressing incident was confirmed by both the police and witnesses present at the scene. Law enforcement officials stated briefly that Samiya Spain passed away due to a stab wound to her chest. Her sister, whose identity remains unknown, sustained an injury to her arm but was reported to be in stable condition. The New York Police Department reported that the incident occurred around 2:20 a.m. within a deli located in the Park Slope area, at the intersection of Saint Mark's Place and 4th Avenue, which is in close proximity to Spain's residence on Nevins Street. Both women were transported by emergency medical services to New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where one was declared deceased. "There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing at this time," police told reporters. According to an anonymous witness interviewed by a reporter, a dispute ensued when a man expressed admiration towards the women and conveyed his attraction to them, only to be turned down. Subsequently, the witness stated that the man resorted to derogatory language before departing from the deli. The police have stated that there have been no arrests made and the investigation is still ongoing at present.
