Motorcyclist in Central Park hits police officer


 

 

Authorities are conducting an investigation into a hit-and-run incident involving an NYPD officer who attempted to remove three motorcyclists from Central Park. The NYPD has disseminated images of the suspects sought in relation to the event, which occurred at approximately 4 p.m. on Friday near West Drive and West 90th Street. Law enforcement officials reported that an officer was in the process of guiding the group out of the park when one individual assaulted him, causing him to fall to the ground. Subsequently, the suspects escaped from the location.

Emergency personnel conveyed the officer to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital, where he received treatment for minor injuries. Authorities report that one of the suspects was observed riding a red motorcycle, and all three individuals are described as having a medium complexion and medium build.
