Suspect wanted for Mcdonalds shooting in bronx

Authorities have indicated that the two children who were shot at a McDonald's in the Bronx on Sunday evening might have been deliberately targeted. This update arises as the NYPD persists in its efforts to locate the individual responsible for the shooting that occurred late Saturday night.

Authorities report that the suspect exchanged a few words with the victims prior to the outbreak of gunfire shortly before 10 p.m. at 2516 White Plains Rd. in Allerton. The NYPD has confirmed that a 12-year-old boy sustained gunshot wounds to his left thigh and back, while a 13-year-old boy was shot in his left leg.

The victims were taken to Jacobi Medical Center by first responders, and both are anticipated to recover. Authorities report that the suspect escaped on foot along Mace Avenue in the direction of Bronx Park East. The last sighting of the suspect indicated they were wearing a black medical mask and a black hoodie featuring a pink logo.

The exact number of shots fired and the total number of individuals present inside the McDonald's at the time of the shooting remain uncertain.

"People's family go there with the kids and stuff like that," a neighborhood resident told a reporter. "The neighborhood is getting worse and worse."
