Law enforcement officials are actively seeking the individual suspected of dog theft in the Bronx that took place late last week. The event transpired at approximately 6:10 a.m. on Friday near 3427 Third Avenue. As reported by the NYPD, a 42-year-old man secured his pit bull, named Precious, to a fence prior to entering a store in the Morrisania area of the Bronx.
Authorities report that the individual in question was strolling past
the store when he took the dog and subsequently fled in a southerly
direction along Third Avenue. Fortunately, there were no injuries
reported as a result of the incident.
The suspect is characterized as a male with a light skin tone, of
average build, and sporting a closely trimmed long beard. Law
enforcement indicates that he was last observed wearing a black t-shirt,
shorts, and sneakers.
