Authorities are currently seeking the individual who has been accused of
robbing two women in unrelated incidents in Ozone Park at the beginning
of this month. The 71-year-old woman was initially assaulted by the suspect on 86th
street at approximately 10:30 p.m. on March 7, as reported by the NYPD. According to reports, it is alleged that he came up behind the woman,
encircled his arms around her neck, forcefully brought her down to the
ground, and proceeded to strike her in the face. The man proceeded to snatch the victim's purse before fleeing the scene. Shortly after, law enforcement reported that the identical individual
purportedly assaulted and stole from a 51-year-old female only a short
distance away. The perpetrator was spotted escaping towards the north on
87th Street. Neither of the women sustained severe injuries.
