Elderly man kicked onto tracks in Penn Station attack

On Sunday, police say 64-year-old Abu Khan was kicked off of the platform and fell onto the tracks, but was rescued by other passengers. Khan, a postal worker, told a reporter he was heading home from work when the assault took place. Khan stated that the individual came up to him, inquired about something he couldn't comprehend, then proceeded to kick him from behind, causing him to fall onto the tracks. Khan asserts that he was rescued from the tracks by fellow passengers moments before another train arrived at the station. Around 11 p.m. last Friday, at the identical station, authorities reported that a male suspect approached a 27-year-old man on an A train arriving at the 34th Street/Penn Station stop. Prior to attacking the man with a box cutter, the suspect reportedly uttered an anti-LGBTQ remark.
