Mother killed in hit and run

Jasmine was a passenger in a car driven by her boyfriend when their vehicle was hit by another car on the Bruckner Expressway in the Bronx early Sunday. After the accident, her boyfriend pulled over on the elevated section of the expressway. While he stayed in the car, Jasmine got out and stood on the westbound shoulder. Unfortunately, she was hit by another car and died at around 1:15 a.m. on Sunday. Despite being rushed to the hospital and undergoing surgery, Jasmine's family was informed of her passing around 4 a.m. that same day. Her loved ones in Brooklyn remember her as a vibrant 32-year-old who cherished her 10-year-old daughter and brought joy to any gathering."I just thank god that our relationship got so much stronger to the point that we did speak every day, so I have even more memories of her," said Nyesha, sister of Jasmine.
