Double shooting leaves 15 year old shot and man injured in queens

 


Authorities in Queens have made public surveillance images of the individuals sought in connection with the double shooting involving a teenager and an adult male. The incident occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday along 143rd Avenue in Springfield Gardens. A 15-year-old male sustained a gunshot wound to the face, while a 23-year-old man was shot in the leg while they were seated in a vehicle.

A 15-year-old male was transported to Cohen Children's Medical Center, while a 23-year-old male was admitted to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. Both individuals are anticipated to recover. The initial suspect is characterized as a man donning a black and white baseball cap, a white t-shirt, light blue jeans, and red and black Nike Jordan sneakers.

The second individual involved is characterized by his attire, which includes red and white Nike Jordan sneakers, green and white tie-dye shorts, an olive green t-shirt, and a white t-shirt obscuring his face.

Authorities have made public the photograph of the individual suspected of stabbing an MTA bus driver while he was performing his duties in Brooklyn. The event took place at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Saturday on a B99 bus in the vicinity of Pitkin Avenue and Alabama Avenue. The New York Police Department reports that the individual engaged in a verbal altercation with the 60-year-old bus driver prior to stabbing him in the neck with an unidentified sharp instrument. Authorities indicate that the suspect was able to leave the bus and escape traveling west on Pitkin Avenue. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority has confirmed that no passengers sustained injuries during the incident.

"The attack against a bus operator doing his job was outrageous and unacceptable. We are confident the NYPD will find the person responsible to face justice," a MTA spokesperson said. 

The victim was taken to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center by first responders, where they were reported to be in stable condition.

An MTA bus driver sustained stab wounds following a dispute with another individual while performing his duties on Saturday morning. Law enforcement officials arrived at the scene in response to a 911 call received at approximately 11:40 a.m., reporting an incident at the intersection of Pitkin Avenue and Alabama Avenue.The New York Police Department reports that a 60-year-old bus driver was operating a Route 3 shuttle when an individual confronted him, leading to a verbal altercation. Authorities indicate that the assailant subsequently stabbed the driver in the neck and then escaped from the location.

Emergency personnel conveyed the victim to Kings County Hospital, where they are reported to be in stable condition. The MTA has confirmed that no passengers sustained injuries during the incident, and at this time, there have been no arrests made. Investigators are working to determine the identity of the assailant and the circumstances that preceded the stabbing.
